Transferring blog from wordpress.com site to my wordpress.org local host

I had an exciting blog on wordpress.com that has been running for months and has a ton of content. I recently just downloaded wordpress 4.0 from wordpress.org. When I run wordpress 4.0 it made me create a new username and password and wouldn’t take my existing log in information from wordpress.com. Now I want to merge my existing site or simply login to my existing site from wordpress 4.0 and I am not sure how to do that.
