Transferring domain

  Hi I am trying to launch the site created here. My domain is on godaddy.
  I was hoping to leave it there and launch that way. While it says it’s covered by my plan, it still asks me to pay 98$.

  Very confused.

  I’d like to avoid transferring domain to WordPress as I am new to it and I am afraid it will mess up my email accounts attached to that domain.

  In order to connect the domain to WordPress.com a plan upgrade is needed. With the personal option, you can map or transfer a domain to us.

  1. mapping: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
  2. transfer: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
