transferring domain

  Hello,

  I have a domain name set up with web.com already. My question is how can I transfer my domain name to WordPress. If you can give me step by step instructions, I will greatly appreciated it. And once I am able to transfer, will my website be affected?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  My question is how can I transfer my domain name to WordPress.

  We don’t currently support incoming domain transfers to WordPress.com. However, if you already own a domain you can ‘map’ it to your site using Domain Mapping:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan, such as the Personal plan. Each paid plan includes a free domain credit which you can use to map a domain you already own (or register a new one).
