Transferring domain

    Can I transfer a domain I already own AFTER upgrading to WordPress business plan? I want to set up my WordPress site entirely before I transfer my domain name across.

    Hi there, for your new Business site, are you going to be using plugins on it or perhaps a theme from outside of WordPress.com? The reason I’m asking, if to install plugins or a theme from outside, configuration changes are made to your site that requires a custom domain name. As long as you did not install any plugins until after you transfer your domain name, it would work.

    If you can let us know about the above, we can better answer your question.

    If you will need to install plugins or a theme from outside right away and before the domain name transfer, we can come up with a temporary solution for you.
