transferring domain i registered with squarespace

    hi there, i am going to be transferring my website (dollarrecords.net) from being hosted by squarespace to being hosted by wordpress.

    i am in the process of building the site in wordpress and want to transfer the domain name i already own to wordpress. i want to do the personal package for 2.99 a month.

    i have the EPP key from squarespace. Can you tell me what i need to do next? many thanks,

    While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:
