Transferring domains?

Hi dear, I am reaching out to get to know more about your services. I am trying to build a template on your website for a domain I own and is hosted by domain.com. I want to know what is the process of mapping my domain here and what happens to my mailboxes that are already active on the domain.com host.

If you’re building your own template, you’re using the open source version of WordPress found on WordPress.org. That software needs to be installed with a hosting provider, and it sounds like you’ve already done that at domain.com, in which case you don’t need anything here on our side at WordPress.com – WordPress.com is a hosting provider, like Domain.com, and you only need to map your domain to us if you want to use it with a WordPress.com site instead.

Note that we do not provide email hosting, so you’ll need to keep your current email provider and connect that email account to your domain by adding the appropriate DNS records to the domain once it’s mapped here.
Also note that if you want to use a custom template that you made yourself, you’ll need to purchase our Business Plan to do so.
