    What are the advantages of transferring my domain to WordPress versus leaving it with GoDaddy?

    The biggest advantage of transferring is that you’ll have your site and your domain in one place, and we’ll be able to provide support for issues with both. You’ll also have to pay only one service for your site – using your own domain on WordPress.com requires one of our paid plans, but as part of the plan you can transfer one domain for free, which will also be renewed for another year when the transfer completes.

    Many people prefer to keep their domain and hosting separate, though, or the annual renewal cost for the domain might be cheaper at GoDaddy than at us.

    In the end, it really just comes down to your preference.
