Transferring my domain from WordPress to a new host

  Hi,
  I would like to transfer my domain coeurdelaphotography.com to another host and create my current wordpress blog to a new domain. I am new to this, but my other host (Viewbook) states that I need to create new “A” DNS records and delete the existing ones to transfer it over.
  My impression from the help information, however, is that I cannot transfer it directly through the “Edit DNS” page because I cannot delete the WordPress DNS stuff.
  Please confirm this for me, and also please direct me on how I should proceed.

  Hi there,

  If your new host offers name servers, you can update your domain’s name servers according to this guide:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameservers

  However, if your new host doesn’t offer name servers, and requires that you change your root-level A records, you’ll need to transfer your domain to a different registrar that allows A record editing:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar
