Transferring my domain name from 123.reg
-
I have read the transfer info on here and on 123.reg but seem to be unable to transfer because
‘ca, .fr, .uk, and premium domains cannot be transferred in at this time. Premium domains are typically more expensive than a regular domain due to their perceived higher value.’
my domain ends in .co.uk
Does this mean I can’t transfer it?
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

I’m afraid that is the case. It is perhaps explained a bit more clearly on this page:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/
Note: All TLDs on this page can be registered with us. We can also accept incoming domain transfers for all TLDs listed on this page except for the following:
– .ca, .fr, .jp, .co.uk, .me.uk, and .uk domains
Sadly, we are unable to accept incoming domain transfers for co.uk domains. you will need to leave your domain at your current registrar (or transfer it to a registrar that CAN accept those domains) and set up Domain Mapping to use the domain with your WordPress.com site. Domain Mapping is included in all WordPress.com paid plans:
https://wordpress.com/pricing/
Once you have purchased a plan, here is a support document that will explain how to set up Domain Mapping with your domain:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
Take a look at those links and let us know if anything is unclear or you have any further questions.
