transferring my domain to Weebly

    I’ve been trying to transfer my domain name to Weebly. That’s where my new website has been built. Hitting a snag. Says the domain has been published but the transfer says: We are waiting on Register.com, Inc. to complete the transfer. This can take up to 7 days. Once transferred, this domain will be connected to the site.’ It’s been 2 weeks and it still has not transferred.

    Hi there,

    I can confirm that your domain leeannhowlett.com has been transferred away from WordPress.com (it is no longer under our control) and now shows as being held at register.com.

    You can confirm here in the public WHOIS details for the domain: https://gwhois.org/leeannhowlett.com+dns

    Please note that when you transfer a domain, the old settings are also transferred. In this case the domain still uses it WordPress.com domain name server (NS) addresses:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    To see your Weebly site you will need to remove that setting, and instead replace with the domain name server (NS) addresses for Weebly by following their guide here: https://www.weebly.com/app/help/us/en/topics/manage-dns-records

    Because we are no longer in control of your domain we cannot do this for you. If you are unsure about how to update your domain to Weebly name servers you can contact their support staff for assistance. Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
