Transferring one of my domains from Google Domains broke the MX records
-
Please help me ASAP to fix the problems introduced in my domains by WordPress transfer process. I transferred my domains to WordPress yesterday and now my email addresses are all inaccessible!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also, I cannot fix the MX issues because I have no access to the domains! They show as “qaiting for authorizations”. This is BAD way to manage user domains…

Hi there!
It looks like you have several domains that are still in the process of being transferred. None has finished the transfer process yet. That’s why you can’t manage their DNS records yet.
I also noticed the transfer for zorzal.com was declined. I’m not sure if this was accidental on Google’s end, but I can only see that the transfer failed because it was declined.
Can you check and make sure that the transfers are set to be approved from Google’s end?
Also, while the transfer is in progress, DNS records can’t be updated. I checked several of your domains, and they all still have Google’s nameservers, so it shouldn’t cause any issues with your existing DNS records (including MX records), which are set on Google’s side. Only after the transfer has successfully completed can you update/change the name servers or DNS records from our side.
Since none of your domains has been transferred to us successfully, we are unable to troubleshoot this, and the issue with DNS records is unlikely to have been on our end, as we technically still have no control over the domains.
Please check the settings on Google (or contact their support team) to check if the transfers are waiting for approval from their end.

Thanks for your response. Is there any way for you to cancel the transfer of all six domains on your end? I stopped the transfer for ZORZAL.COM and CABALLERO.CC, by contacting Google directly. After the problems I experienced with this process, I have decided to NOT bring my domains to WordPress.
if you cannot cancel the request, I will just wait until they expire (I hope that happens eventually). One way or another, please let me know whether you can or cannot cancel.

Hi @ccaballero, you can cancel any transfers that haven’t been completed yet, and it looks like a few have completed since my colleague first looked at your thread.
For the ones that have completed, if the MX records are broken, we can help you suss it out. Or, you can point back to your old name servers for now. You can also transfer the domain back out (with the extra year intact) after 60 days, or if you want to work with ICAAN you can dispute the transfer through your previous registrar.
I do think fixing the MX records will be the easiest option. I can see zorzal.com was never on our services, so can you share which domain is having MX issues so we can take a closer look?

I’ve had this exact issue. Some domains transferred, some didn’t and from Google’s perspective they are all registered with wordpress so they cannot help. The domain that has not transferred correctly has taken down our website and emails which has caused huge disruption to the business. Extremely disappointing.

@evidentgroup sorry to hear that! Can you share the domain and let us know what DNS records are giving you trouble? I’d like to take a closer look so we can resolve whatever is causing this.

@evidentgroup I can see we’ve copied over quite a few records (A records, Google MX records, etc) if you want to use our name servers. I don’t see any subdomains.
And I don’t see other extra records on Google’s name servers. Let us know what you need and we can help. No more replies needed, thanks.
I cancelled two of the transfers (the two that I had MX records problems with) so that they are not accessible to WordPress. The rest of the domains I had transferred (which HAD transferred OK because they had very simple DNS setups) are at WordPress for now, and don’t need any DNS modifications. I will dispose of the remaining ones in the near future.
