Transferring Purchased Domain Name to WordPress.com Blog

  I purchased my domain through godaddy.com. I changed the DNS servers to wordpress, and when I go to settings/domain and then try to change it, it asks me to purchase it through wordpress.

  How do I get my purchased URL to direct to my wordpress.com blog?

  You can’t transfer a domain name to WordPress.COM – they are not set up to do that

  BUT – you can map the domain name to your blog here – did you use these instructions?
