Transferring Shopify store to WordPress – currently hosted by GoDaddy

    Hi,

    I am trying to move my website from Shopify to WordPress/WooCommerce. How do I do this?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi cjocarro,

    You mentioned “WordPress” rather than WordPress.com specifically, so I’ll run through a couple of options with you:

    WordPress.com
    Using WooCommerce on a WordPress.com site would require the Business plan — this is the only plan which provides the option to install custom plugins like WooCommerce.

    WordPress.org
    The other option is to use the self hosted version of WordPress, WordPress.org:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    This means the site would not be hosted on WordPress.com and WooCommerce could be installed without purchasing a Business plan. However, you would be responsible for your own security and maintenance (we take care of this on WordPress.com).
