Transferring stats and followers

I’ve been trying to read instructions, but don’t get very far so I hope you can do it for me. I’d like to have my statistics and followers transferred from http://nettyroyal.wordpress.com to http://www.nettyroyalblog.nl Is that possible? I’ve added Jetpack to my new site and it seems to be connected to the old one.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I’ve transferred the subscribers for you, so they’ll now see the new site in their Readers going forward. Note that any of them who were signed up for email notification will need to do so again via their Reader settings. People who were only following your site via email will still receive email notifications.

I’m happy to move the stats for you as well, but that is connected to your content, and I see you haven’t moved any of the content from the WordPress.com site over to the new site. If you’re planning to do that, let me know once it’s done and I can merge the stats for you. If you won’t be moving over your content, it won’t help to merge the stats as none of it will display on the new site without the content being there as well.

To migrate your content, export it from the WordPress.com site at My Site ->Settings ->Export, and then you can import it to the Jetpack site by logging into the WP-Admin dashboard and going to Tools ->Import ->WordPress.

    Export

    Import

I already did and have done again … just done exactly what you say above once again. And it says all files do already exist.

So I’d be very happy if someone could help me transferring the statistics as I had almost 400,000 visitors and it would be sad loosing all of this.

  • The site, http://www.nettyroyalblog.nl, is showing two posts and two pages that Jetpack can detect in the logs on our end. That is why I asked you to first import them. But I see the posts are on the site itself, though you’re using a different permalink structure than on WordPress.com.

I’ve merged the stats, and they seem to be okay, but be aware that due to the changed permalink structure all stats might not have merged with the new site correctly. If that’s the case, there’s nothing we can do about it.

Thank you Kokkieh! It seems they’re all there. Looks like about the right number. Glad everything is there. Stats from just two days on your blog looks so stupid if you have been around for more than four years :-)

I made two new posts since changing sites, so that might be them among others.

    For sure :)

Thanks for confirming that all is good.
