Transferring Subscribers to .org
-
Can I transfer my subscribers from my .com account to my .org account? Help please!
-
We can take care of transferring subscribers and followers from a WordPress.com to a self-hosted WordPress site running Jetpack.
The Jetpack site I see on your account is connected under a temporary IP:
66.147.244.222/~plowing
That should be changed to your permanent URL on your end, and you should then disconnect and reconnect Jetpack to your WordPress.com account.
Once you’re ready, let me know and I’ll be glad to do the transfer.

How do I change the url? Last time I tried doing it manually, I ‘broke my blog’ and couldn’t access the back end. Thanks so much for your help!

If you need help changing the URL on your self-hosted site, could you please post in the WordPress.org support forums?
http://wordpress.org/support/You can also check the Codex first:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URLYou’re right to be cautious as it can be a tricky process. Good luck!

I got my URL changed over to plowingforward.com. Now I need to deactivate JetPack on my .org dashboard, yes? And then how do I go about re-activating it on .com?
-
Right, just disconnect and then reconnect Jetpack in your self-hosted site’s dashboard. There’s no need to uninstall it – just click the disconnect button and then reconnect it again to your WordPress.com account.

Your subscribers and followers have been transferred as requested. Just a heads-up that any WordPress.com followers who opted to receive email updates will need to re-subscribe again on your new site through the Jetpack signup box, otherwise they’ll only see new posts in their Reader. Non-WordPress.com email subscribers will continue to get email updates.
Best of luck with your self-hosted site!
