Transferring to Hostinger: Trying to Preserve Email
-
Hi. I’d like to talk to a HUMAN BEING if that’s not too inconvenient. I’m trying to transfer from WordPress.com to WordPress.org via Hostinger. When I got to the part where my domain is meant to get transferred over, it’s telling me doing so will erase my wp.titan email address and everything in it. I’m just trying to figure out how to transfer everything safely. I’ve already transferred the website files and spent the money I didn’t want to spend, so I’d really appreciate some advice on how to move everything over safely.

Hi @zonacwriters,
I took a look at your domain, and I can see it’s currently using WordPress.com’s name servers.
Since your main concern is preserving your Titan email and its contents, the safest option is not to transfer the domain registration right now.
Instead, you can leave the domain registered with WordPress.com and point it to your Hostinger hosting using DNS records (typically A records). That way, your website can be hosted at Hostinger while your Titan email continues working without interruption.
If you later decide you’d prefer to transfer the domain registration to Hostinger, I’d recommend doing that after you’re ready to move your email service as well. That will make the transition much smoother and help avoid any disruption to your mailboxes.
If you’d like more detailed guidance, please send us an email at help@wordpress.com, and we’ll be happy to walk you through the available options.
We look forward to hearing from you!
