transferring website

  Can we transfer a .com website to wordpress fm webstarter? Do we need to pay for a new domain name? How does this work? I am not so much talking about information on the website as the website is very new. I just want thename.com transferred to webstarter so that I am working the same web platform for my 2 sites. I am not sure about paying for domain name and web services.

  With a WordPress.com upgraded plan you can transfer or map a domain you already own to a WordPress.com site:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/ (if you’ve owned the domain for more than 60 days).
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
  But then you contradict yourself and say:

  I just want thename.com transferred to webstarter

  Perhaps more details would help. Where is the unnamed domain currently hosted? Here at WordPress.com? If it isn’t here at WordPress.com you need to ask whoever is hosting the domain how to map or transfer it to Webstarter.

  I am sorry…I misspoke.

  I want thename.com transferred FROM webstarter TO wordpress!

  We’ve owned the domain name less than 60 days.
