Transferring WordPress site

Hi. I hope this doesn’t get too confusing… but I would really appreciate some help. My brother was hosting my domain for me, but I was using WordPress with my domain. (I’m not super techy so, I don’t know how to say that right!) he let his service go, and I was left without a host. And, obviously, my blog went down along with my email. He transferred the domain to me (with Go Daddy) and I bought a wordpress hosting package thinking I could just add my domain and voila! My blog would be back. Well. Nope. That didn’t happen. See- I’m not very techie. I don’t have access to my back ups and never downloaded them to my computer thinking i wouldn’t need them. Lesson learned.
All of that to ask: is there a way to get my blog back or do I need to start over? Thank you for any help!

Looks like the only one that can help you is the previous hosting provider (the one your brother was using).
Please note that we’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us (WordPress.com). For additional help with your site you need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:
