  Hi I’m considering switching from squarespace to wordpress. First I would like to trial the elementor plug-in to see if I like the user experience and it meets my design needs. However when I go to install the plugin, I can’t without purchasing a plan. Is there a way to trial this service before buying? I hope there is otherwise I won’t feel comfortable paying for another subscription and won’t switch from my current provider. Thanks

  You can use third party plugins on the free wordpress.com plan unless you upgrade to the Business Plan.
  A possible solution is to install wordpress.org locally on your computer. On the other hand, the Gutenberg editor has a lot of possibilities that don’t differs a lot from the possibilities the elementor plugin gives you.
