Tried to change Domain name- did not work
-
I used BlueHost to buy my domain name and created a blog using it with WordPress. I recently decided that I wanted to change my domain name, so naturally, I googled how to do that on WordPress. Unfortunately, the instructions that I followed left me with a lot of issues I do not know how to fix. I just want to get my blog back to the original domain name and design first and foremost, and then I would like to change the domain name the CORRECT way. HELP! Here is my info:
This is what I did to create the problem:
• Went to settings, then clicked on ‘general’. Then I changed the ‘WordPress Address (URL)’ and the ‘Site Address (URL)’ from ‘bae-athlon.com’ to ‘triandsmile.com’. Then I clicked on ‘Save changes’.I tried to change it back to ‘bae-athlon’ but it did not work.
Original Domain name/URL: This takes me to a very basic design of my blog (it changed the original design when I tried to change the domain name)
• http://www.bae-athlon.comChanged Domain name/URL: (the first one is what I tried to change it to and the second is where it takes me when I click on my site on WordPress)
• http://www.dnsrsearch.com/index.php?origURL=http%3A//www.triandsmile.com/&r=https%3A//wordpress.com/&bc=The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, you have a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/ Your webhost’s support team is another good resource.
