TROUBLE ACTIVATING/CONNECTING WITH GRAVATAR ACCOUNT

I’m desperately trying to log into Gravatar to update my profile picture but I find myself within an endless circle always leading to the following message, even after I click on the link to confirm within the activation email (doing so, takes me right back to this page):
We sent you a confirmation email!
We sent an email to (email visible only to moderators and staff) when you signed up for Gravatar.
In this email you will find a link that, when clicked, will bring you back to a confirmation page. Once you’ve confirmed your email, you can start using Gravatar.
If for some reason you did not receive the confirmation email, visit the WordPress.com help page where you can find a link to resend the confirmation email. If you are still having trouble, feel free to get in touch and we’ll do our best to get you sorted!

Thanks. But I followed the link in that email, activated, and signed in and it still takes me to the same message. 😩
