Trouble after update to WP 5.9.2

Hi, I just updated WP 5.9.2, and immediately I found that my widgets under appearance are not available. I get an error message on the page saying. ‘the editor has encountered an unexpected error’, and options ‘attempt recovery’ and ‘copy error’, that does not work. I had backup with Updraft Plus, I ran the backup to get back to the former version – but that did not work either. So no I seem to be stuck with a WP version that has sent my widget section to icing. Please help!

thank you for that clarification.
The problem is (and I tried this before I posted in your forum) that wordpress.org does not let me in. They claim that my username is not known to wordpress.org.
My confirmation email from wordpress.org stated my username when i bought the service (highlifeliving), which they now claim does not exist.
The consequence of this is that I can not log in to get help to sort my username and password, and then get help with the WordPress upgrade that has caused problems.How do I get in touch with them? Are you able to sort the username part of my problem?

You just have to make an account on wordpress.org. The account name and password are in no way related to your wordpress.com account and password over here, or the account name and password on your wordpress.org website.
