Trouble creating permalink

  I am trying to create a permalink. Every time I try to create it, a ‘-2’ gets added to the end. I checked to see if I have any other permalinks setup with that name, and the answer is no. I also tried to create customizations to try stopping it, but it still returns.
  How do I get this to stop from happening?

  Your account hasn’t created a site on WordPress.com yet, which suggests the one you are working on may not be hosted here.

  If it was created with self hosted WordPress.org software, the WordPress.org support forums will be the best place to post for advice.

  Based on what you’ve said, it sounds like there may already be a page with the permalink you are trying to use (possibly in the trash).

  If you aren’t sure where the site is hosted, just send a link and I can check.
