Trouble editing 'About' Page of our site

Hi there, we are trying to edit the ‘About’ page of our site, but for some reason we are only able to edit the Home Page in which we post all of our blog posts. We’re not sure if it is a role issue, we are the sole contributors to the blog now but it has been passed down to us by three others. We were invited to become an author and admin and are unsure if we accidentally only accepted the author invitation? All we know is that we don’t have access to that page.

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

We were invited to become an author and admin and are unsure if we accidentally only accepted the author invitation?

When you say “We” are you referring to multiple users using one username/email combination, or multiple usernames?

If one of you is an administrator, he/she would be able to view the user role assigned to each user, and to change the user roles as described in the Changing User Roles section of the User Roles support page.

The author role is described as follows in the same support page:

An Author can create, edit, publish, and delete only their own posts, as well as upload files and images. Authors do not have access to create, modify, or delete pages, nor can they modify posts by other users. Authors can edit comments made on their posts.

we are the sole contributors to the blog now but it has been passed down to us by three others.

If the “we” you speak of are the sole contributors, then one or more of the “we” would have to be an administrator.

If neither of you is an administrator, but believes the inviting administrator intended one or more of you to be assigned to that or some other role than the role presently assigned, then I would suggest that the affected parties contact an administrator of the site, and ask for the user role(s) to be modified accordingly.

    Correction:

If the “we” you speak of are the sole contributors, then one or more of the “we” would have to be an administrator.

Unless there are one or more non-contributing administrators which aren’t among the “we” you refer to.
