Trouble editing or even deleting website

Hi, I started my first website and was basically messing around with different features. I thought I was created a basic webpage with a tab for blogging, but ended up with a blog webpage. I’ve attempted to change to a more conventional page for a business home page. I cannot change it. I tried deleting the page to start over and I cannot seem to get rid of it either. Anyone else have similar experience?

Hey @tubender, sorry to hear you’ve had some trouble with this!
If you want a static page + a page for blogging, can I recommend maybe changing themes and picking the “Design your Own” option? You can find it here; just scroll down til it appears. This will replace your front page, and you’ll get to pick the “sections” you want. You can skip adding any news/posts/blog parts unless you want them. When you save, you’ll replace any text and images with your own.
Then, here’s how to set up a separate blog page:
A home page is the front page of your site. Using the steps in this guide, you can control which page your visitors see first when visiting your website. Set the Homepage from Settings To set the homepage of your site, follow these steps: Visit your site’s dashboard. Go to Settings → Reading in the left sidebar: Locate the dropdown option Your homepage displays at the top oIf you want to edit the template, I’d recommend publishing a few test blog posts so you’ve got something to work with.
When you’re all set, you can make a navigation menu as you’d like, to tie them all together.
