  Hi, Thanks for asking! I did finally figure out how to delete my previous blogs. However, I have the “free” WordPress until next month when I will “upgrade”. The symbols stump me at times and I haven’t been able to change the photo that introduces my blog post. Any suggestions for any or all of the above?

  However, I have the “free” WordPress until next month when I will “upgrade”.

  No suggestions, since I’ve no experience with paid upgrades, or the paid plans. I’ve been on the free plan for 8 years. Here’s a comparison guide of the four available plans: WordPress.com Plans.

  The symbols stump me at times

  I haven’t been able to change the photo that introduces my blog post.

  Archives pages, and other dynamic pages such as your “Blog” page, will not display a featured image. Instead, they will display the site header image, or randomized header images, if either of these options is set at Customize > Header Image, or no header image.

  The site header image will also display on single posts and static pages on which no featured image is set.

  To hide the header image, go to Customize > Header Image, and click on the “Hide image” button. Then click the “Save & Publish” button.
