Trouble uploading photos

  I am having trouble uploading photos and am receiving the following message:
  855YsDO1T%S+yjJPSP61gA.jpg
  Post-processing of the image failed. If this is a photo or a large image, please scale it down to 2500 pixels and upload it again.
  I am very inexperienced with wordpress and was wondering if someone could advise me with step by step instructions for resolving this issue? Thanks!

  Okay, your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. So I’m afraid we cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums.
