Trying to Add A 360 Photo to My Blog/Website
-
I visited this page on WordPress:
https://wordpress.com/support/embedding-360-photos-and-virtual-reality-vr-content/
It says to add a shortcode block, which I do and then add this code but nothing happens when I preview the page:
[vr url =https://www.dallasplummer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Northmen_Roofing-Windermere-Roof_Repair-360-02-scaled.jpg view=360]
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here.I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Those instructions are only valid for a site running on the wordpress.com platform. It seems you don’t have a wordpress.com website. What is the URL of the site you are trying to add a 360° photo.

Hi Staartmees,
The url of the website im trying to add a 360 photo to is https://www.dallasplummer.com. Although it is not hosted on wordpress.com, it is a wordpress website hosted on another web hosting service. I am able to add a video file which broadcasts an embedded video instead of using Youtube video embed. The entire purpose of these two exercises is to NOT have to use Google APIs for Youtube and Google Maps, which Google appears to be charging for. Adding the video files and 360 photo files will be recognized by search engines and not be blocked by Google in their current Google embed forms.
I hope this makes sense.

Hi there!
Things do not work quite the same on WordPress.com and WordPress.org. Here, we’re running a modified version of WordPress.
It’s probably best if you asked at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/. Folks there will probably be able to advise better on self-hosted sites.
