Trying to add meta tag for Google WordPress mapped email

  I’m trying to get my custom WordPress email for my blog, SharingSounds. I am doing it through the suggested Google App and need to add a meta tag. The tag: <meta name=”google-site-verification” content=”-AGNiX7NpK66eGdBmTL71XV-UOSpPDCpJKOoZPUd8WI” />

  My issue is that every time I enter this into my blog for verification it gets deleted. I have put it in my right sidebar, and various posts. Any suggestions? Thanks
