Trying to cancel my domain.

I just bought the domain ejeconstruction.com from wordpress about 3 hours ago, and I’m trying to cancel it and get a refund. I hit the cancel Private Registration and I did not get a confirmation email on the refund. I only got a confirmation for canceling the personal subscription of 9.88. The domain went away from my domains section. It is within 48 hours. I’m not sure where to go from here.

So that we are on the same page, once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.

staff-doublebassd, I tried going to where you said and i didn’t see any options to move it. I went to store > my domains and it doesn’t even show ejecontruction.com anymore as a domain… and at the bottom of the page there isn’t an option to “move domain to another site”. Plus, it doesn’t let you transfer domain for 60 days… So yes, please cancel the domain and give me the refund. Thanks in advance!

You can still use the domain while registered here during that 60 day period by pointing the nameservers over to the site host provider. Then, once 60 days have hit, you can then move the domain over to that host. Since you canceled the domain, it’ll be around 30 days before you will be able to use it.
I have refunded the domain to you, but if you still want to guarantee to keep the domain and avoid the risk of risking losing it, I can still retrieve it for you and send a manual payment your way.

Thanks, I tried doing that, but every time I went to ejeconstruction.com it would just route back to ejeconstruction.wordpress.com even after I pointed the nameservers elsewhere. So it was just frustrating. So I’ll just wait the 30 days to get it again. It’s no problem.
