Trying to change name of account and web address to one I have used on other account

  Hello,

  I’m attempting to change my account name and web address to one which is on an older account that I forgot my details for.

  I am attempting to change my account name and web address from ‘thetoffeeblues1878’ to ‘The Toffee Blues’

  Any help please?

  You’ll have to sign in to your other WordPress.com account in order to access that site and make such a change. We can help you out once you’ve signed in to the correct account. Each account requires a unique email address.

  Hi Liz,

  Thanks for getting back to me :)

  That’s the one! I can even see the little graphic I made as the icon lol

  See I tried logging in with it and nothing worked, I tried to do a remember password so it could be sent to one of the e-Mail addresses I have and it came up saying “Account deleted!” But I don’t remember deleting the account at all.

  Any ideas?

  Ideally would love this name back as it is the name of my fan site/group I have had for near 10 years.

  Hi John,

  If you don’t remember the login details for that site, the only way we can give you access is if you verify your ownership via our account recovery form:

  Recover Your Account

  If you’re unable to provide the necessary verification, we cannot give you access to that site under any circumstances.

  I can tell you I see that we sent a login link for that account to the email address on file for it. So one of the emails you tried was the correct one.

  Please check all your email accounts for an email from us containing a one-time login link for the site. The link will have expired by now, but then at least you’ll know the correct email so you can request another link or do a password reset.
