Trying to change username but says it is in use.

  I’ve been trying to get my blog punkrockdemo.wordpress.com set up with the username punkrockdemo but it’s stuck with the username xxjack12xx. How can I get the username changed to punkrockdemo? I signed up for that username with the wrong blog address in the past and tried to delete it but it seems it won’t delete.

  Also, the blog URL keeps saying xxjack12xx.wordpress.com when it was already changed to punkrockdemo.wordpress.com

  Basically, I want the username + display name + blog address to match and I messed up by typing the wrong username in a previous inactive account.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  punkrockdemo.wordpress.com is no longer available.
  The authors have deleted this site.

  The bad news is that once you’ve deleted a site, neither the site nor the address will be made available again, even to the person who set them up. Sorry for no better news.

  But I see now that you’ve already asked this question and received an answer also from Staff.
