Trying to re-new my domain but WP saying I no longer have a site?

    I switched to hostgator but the domain is still with WP but when I try to renew it says I don’t have a site with them making it impossible to update the domain name for another year.

    I would be happy to assist you in renewing your subscription. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. Until recently, you were able to renew an upgrade that was under your account, but now only the owner of the upgrade can. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into renewing the subscription upgrade. However, you should be able to renew the domain if logged into the account that owns the upgrade.

    Sure,

    Username should have been ianrobertnolan
    The domain is thebonablog.com

    Wild West Domains, who my computer expert said should be able to update it says they cannot. Host gator says you should be able to do it. Under my profile it’s telling me I don’t have any WP sites which makes no sense.

    I checked thebonablog.com and the domain is not under ianrobertnolan, but rather a different account that you seemed to have created. Do you happen to remember creating another account?

    The user name for that is show me “admin” but still the same email address.

    Looks like the user is def. “admin” but since it’s under the same email shouldn’t it be registered to me or whatever?

  • The other account is associated with a different email than the one you are contacting us from? Do you have a different email you can check?

    What I can do is e-mail the address associated with the account so that you can check all of your e-mails and see which one receives the message. All you would need to do is respond from that e-mail to verify ownership. Then, I will definitely be able to assist you in regaining access.

    (email visible only to moderators and staff) is where the WP account went first.

    Don’t know if you can see the address I just put it there. That account is already getting the WP update emails but when I click on the “renew site” from the email that was sent there I’m not getting a website to update.

  • I see the email and that is the one associated with the account with the upgrade. Can you log into that account and post in this thread? If you are able to do that, I can assist you with the renewal on my end.

    Ah, I actually got it! Looks like I had 2 different WP accounts….Should be good to go thanks for all the help!
