Trying to reactivate a wordpress site after it was down for a year or two

  I’m trying to reactivate a wordpress site after it was down for a year or two. I have all the files. I still have the domain name. I still have the GoDaddy Account but it is just pointing to the wrong place. A buddy of mine use to host it for me. I’m happy to pay for the hosting service now. any advice is greatly appreciated.

  Hi there,

  If the site was not hosted with us on WordPress.com, there’s nothing we can do, period, as the site’s files were never in our possession.

  If your friend who hosted the site no longer has its files on their server, and you did not keep your own backup of the site’s files, there is no way to get that content back.
