Trying to reassert ownership of a website

  However, I also have https://skillsinmedia.wordpress.com/ and it is this site only that I can update.
  How can I re-assert ownership of https://samwild.wordpress.com/ as I am not being allowed access?

  That site is connected to another account, https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/samwild/.
  If you lost access to that account, there are several ways to restore access, https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
