Trying to recover and close an old account I made years ago.

  I created a wordpress site years ago with a now defunct email. I cannot seem to remember the name of the site, url, or any of that information. But I did just get another new billing charge for the site from WordPress. How do I get in touch with someone to help sort everything out?

  The good news is that the billing charge actually works in your favour here as it gives you a concrete way to track down the account.

  First check the email associated with the charge itself. Even if the original account email is defunct, the billing notification may have gone to a different address or your bank/PayPal statement might show enough detail to help identify the account.

  From there your best bet is to reach out to WordPress.com support directly at https://wordpress.com/help/contact and provide the transaction details from the charge. They should be able to use that billing information to locate the account and help you either regain access or cancel the subscription if you no longer need it.
