trying to recovery web site built in wordpress but hosted on godaddy

I built a site using wordpress and hosted it on godaddy… I opened the web site to a blank screen recently and when i contacted godaddy they told me the site hosting account expired. I asked them to put it back up but they demanded a recovery charge in addition to the hosting fee. Is tehre anyway I can recover the files from wordpress directly?

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/
