Trying to reinstall jetpack from Vaultpress site. says ‘something went wrong’

    Apparently, I need to renew my account to get all the features I was using to turn back on. But, your website won’t even take my money. So, i’m sort of stuck here. And obviously you guys don’t have telephones any more to take calls. So old fashioned, I know. But humans are still pretty good to have around when things go pearshaped.

    What is the URL of the site you are trying to add Jetpack to?

    Can you give us the error that you are encountering?

    Here’s the problem. A few months ago, I lost the CC used for the automatic payments. I cancelled the card number and it was blocked. Got a new CC. When the autopay to VaultPress came due, it didn’t go through. I missed the notice, if there is one, in the barrage of 100s of emails I get every day. The http://www.stanenrosegazette.com site wasn’t doing much at the time so I didn’t notice.
    Now it is and I want to reestablish connection and set up the autopay again with the new CC. But, when I try to do this, its blocked by VaultPress, and thus the epic failure of “Something Went Wrong.” pops up. And there is no way around it I can figure.

    Hi @austintxous, you can go here and sign in with the WordPress.com username/account that you originally used when you signed up and you should be able to renew things.

    Yeah. I wish this were true. But it doesn’t work for me. Just tells me there is a problem. But doesn’t offer a solution. And Automattic is the same way. Pathetic tech support. I can’t even get them to take my MONEY!

    Its because I let my subscription lapse for a couple of months, I’m a nolo contendre or possibly on the group W list. (joke, a reference to the Arlo Guthrie song “Alice’s Restaurant.”)

    I need for them to forget me totally, like an old girlfriend, so I can start over. But, no….

    I see you already have four support tickets open with VaultPress as well, and they’ve sent you several replies via email on Sunday and Monday, none of which you’ve replied to yet. Those email tickets are the best place to get this resolved, as we can only help with WordPress.com sites in this forum, and a limited range of Jetpack issues. We cannot help you with VaultPress here.

    Please reply to the emails VaultPress support has sent you so they can continue helping you there. If you did not receive those emails, please check the spam folder and also the social and updates tabs in Gmail, in case their emails got filtered there.
