Trying to retrieve expired domain

My domain janaykingsberry.com expired earlier this year. When I try to re-register it, it says the name is under a redemption period through Wild West. Please advise me on how I can get you to release the domain so I can purchase it again. I promise not to be so lazy next time.

Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 80 days. During this time, your domain may be put up for auction or sold on back-order. You can learn more about expired domains here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/
The good news is that we may still be able to recover your domain if it has not yet been deleted or purchased by someone else. A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by the domain registry and is not one which we can waive.
If you wish to continue with the renewal process and agree to pay the renewal fees + $80, please let me know and I will send you a payment request.
If not, you can wait out the rest of the expiration process and see if the domain is released. However, do be advised that this is risky, as someone else can purchase the domain out from under you and it may not become available in the future.

Thanks for the speedy response! Is there any way I can find out when the redemption ends? If it’s being released soon, I may try and take my chances at buying it when it becomes open to the public again. But if it’s a while from now, then I’ll just pay the renewal fees.

It can be up to 80-90 days from expiration. Sometimes shorter, but there’s no guarantees. That would put it towards the end of this month.
