Trying to unmap thept2u.com

    Hello,

    I am trying to unmap thept2u.com from my wordpress account and haven’t been able to figure it out. Is there anyone who could help me with this please?

    Hi there, it looks like your site is on one of our upgrade plans and as such you are also eligible for direct support via Live Chat and email when you post to https://wordpress.com/help/contact

    Normally, to remove mapping one sets the WPcom address as primary and then changes the DNS pointers at one’s registrar. However, because of your upgrade plan, there will likely be additional steps involved. I’ve also flagged this thread for Staff attention and direction.

    Hi there,

    You should be able to remove that domain mapping upgrade from the Purchases page at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/, but I’ve gone ahead and done that for you.

    If you want to use the domain with a site at another host, please make sure you also update the name servers over at GoDaddy where you have that domain registered.

    Lastly, if you’re not going to be using the Business Plan with this site any more, I would recommend that you let us properly revert it back to the free plan, else the site won’t work properly.

    This process will remove any plugins and themes you installed since upgrading to Business, and might also lead to content you added or edited after that point being lost.

    Please confirm if you want us to start that process.
