Trying to upgrade and Simplify

  I’ve had a free WordPress account for several years. I have a wix website elsewhere, with a domain registered with yet another party. I’m not happy with the place that currently gives me hosting and domain registration.
  I’m thinking about upgrading WordPress, and having my website here, and would like to also move my domain registration over. Any thoughts?

  WordPress.com don’t currently accept incoming domain transfers. You’d need to keep your custom domain with your current provider but you could map that custom domain to your WordPress.com site. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
