Tumblr Redirects / 404 Errors

  • Unknown's avatar

I installed a WordPress them on a sub domain of my website, which is hosted my Host Gator. I used the Tumblr import tool and a plugin called Tumblog. I have since removed both because visitors to not just the sub domain, but to the main domain, often got redirected to a Tumblr 404 error page. Hostgator says its not them. Even though I’ve removed any link to Tumblr and installed a new WP theme, visitors often get redirected to the Tumblr 404. Please help with this ASAP. Thanks a lot! My main domain is: carmenadamucci.com. The sub domain is: carmenadamucci.com/blog.
    Blog url: http://carmenadamucci.com/

Now I get this when trying to link to the dashboard of the blog from the main WordPress site:

    Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to carmenadamucci.com.

“SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

    (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.”

    Help please.

I’m afraid you’re in the wrong forum. If you’re hosted at Hostgator instead of WordPress.com you need to be at WordPress.ORG for support.
