Twenty Fourteen Ephemera Video Post

    Hello,

    I currently have posts using the Twenty Fourteen Ephemera for gallery, quote and video. My question is for the video. Why does it show the entire post instead of just the video? My gallery post doesn’t show the post text, just my featured image. Is this possible for video post format? If not, would the CSS upgrade allow me to change this? Thanks,

    Hi Elliott,

    The Twenty Fourteen theme is designed to show the full content of every post on the front page of your site. If you’d like it to just show part of the content (like the video) you can actually do that without the Custom Design upgrade and CSS.

    Instead, you can use the More Tag. You can add that more tag when you create or edit a post. Anything above the more tag in the post will appear on the front page — so if your video is at the top of the post, you can put the more tag right after it. That way, the video will be displayed and visitors can click through to see the rest of the post.
