twenty fourteen widget

    hello!
    i m trying to put the google map widget on my blog.
    I have downloaded it but then on my blog i do not see the place where i m suposed to incorporate the widget in my blog.
    does it mean that my theme does not allow to ad downloaded widgets?
    i m using the twenty fourteen theme
