  Any idea why when I link this in twitter, the featured image does show up with it? http://nycecology.wordpress.com/mollie-thurman-2/

  Twitter will only embed the blog post itself in the tweet. If the image is not part of the post content, they won’t display it.

  Sorry ya I meant to say it doesn’t show. The image is part of the content, similar pages (E3B profiles) do show an image and content when posted to twitter

  Oh, sorry, I completely misunderstood the question.

  Twitter will include the featured image, overriding any other images, whenever it is set.
