Twitter links on mobile devices look different.

    My twitter links when accessed on a mobile device look different (not in a good way) than when the same links are accessed through text message or even on Twitter but through a computer not a mobile device like a phone. If anyone could give me some clarity as to why, that would be great. Thank you so much!

    This is because Twitter will always use the AMP version of a website if it exists.

    The AMP version of a site is a special version of the site that’s optimized to load as fast as possible on mobile devices, and was developed by Google. If your site comes up in a Google search, Google will always link to the AMP version, and likewise any links of a site that are shared on Twitter will be converted to the AMP version. That’s something those services do automatically.

    You can disable AMP on your WordPress.com site, but note that if you do that it might mean your site is less likely to appear in Google search results on mobile devices, and any links to the AMP versions of your posts that have already been shared on Twitter will no longer work.
