twitter view counts not as high as expected

  I’ve recently started blogging, and have been able to post the links on twitter, which have had a good number of retweets, likes and replies, I would assume therefore that the referrer / total views should reflect these, but my total views from twitter are less than ten! (consistently retweeted and liked over 10 times a day sometimes) I can only assume that the wordpress view count isn’t picking up the views from twitter (and perhaps other areas such as pinterest etc) can you help? or am I really only getting retweets and likes from people who arent actually reading the articles?!

  To be honest, this is the most likely situation. I know it sounds insane, but this sort of thing has been proven over and over on social media.
