two accounts?

I am currently logged in to WordPress through the mobile app with my usual username. When I try to login on the website wordpress.com with the same details, it says there is no user by that username. I then tried to reset my password using my email address, which was successful, but it has logged in to a different username, containing none of my blog posts. Has the website created a duplicate account?

No. It appears that you have two accounts. Each account has a different account email address. So, the email address you used to log into an account is not the account email address of the site/account you intended to log into.

That doesn’t explain why I couldn’t log in with my other account. Is this a public forum or can I post my other username for you to check?

I’m not fully understanding what you describe here, but if the attempt was log into two accounts simultaneously on the same browser, then failure to be able to do so would be expected. Also, even if you logged out of one, the attempt to log into the other on the same browser without first clearing the browser cache and cookies might fail.
It’s a public forum, and you may post the other username. However, if you don’t want that one to be revealed publicly, then perhaps you should add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention. Staff may then be able to converse with you privately via email or some other means.
