Two accounts, one email address

    Evidently I opened a WP account in 2014 and not realizing it, today I opened another using the very same email address which is when I discovered the first account. I am unable to delete the first account because they use the same email address. I purchased a hosting period which is tied to the 2nd account. How can I delete the 1st account without affecting the 2nd?

    It’s not possible to have two WordPress.com accounts that would be using the same email address.
    You are now logged in as kricketlee, which is the other account you’re trying to delete? What is the address of the site you purchased hosting for? It sounds like you might be confusing WordPress.com with WordPress.org – they are two different entities.

    We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
