Two Factor Authentication

  The emails with the two factor authentication code are coming so late that by the time they arrive they have expired. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions on how to fix it? They are not going to my junk folder, they are simply arriving late — like hours late. This has happened to me several times, but it seems especially bad today.

  Hi @roygoble, are you getting emails or texts? If you’re getting texts that are then sent via email, I can see where there would be a delay. If it’s texts that are slow, that can be affected by a number of things, and we can look into that.

  If you have have a smartphone, have you considered using an authentication app? We have a bit of information about that here:

  Whatever you do, just be sure to keep backup codes so you can use them if needed.

  I’m using emails, not texts. I use to have backup codes but it’s been years since I’ve needed them.

  In hindsight I should have this configured for getting texts (seems faster) and get updated backup codes.

  But that’s hindsight. Right now I just need to get logged in so I can change the settings!

  Any suggestions on how to do that? I’m still waiting for codes via email and they are still taking hours to arrive.

  Wait! It randomly started working tonight. I got the code in just ten minutes. Still slow, but it allowed me to login. Changing the settings so this doesn’t happen again!
